Did good work but customer service was very average. Tap started leaking after 6 months and the response was simply “not our fault” cool that’s a great response. Will take our business elsewhere

I drove down to the office of Your Local Plumber in the morning, as I live only 2 km away from their office. I met Ms Hannah and Lawrence who were very friendly and listened to my problem of two hot water cylinders. Lawrence even looked at the photos of my hot water cylinder briefly and. Lawrence came down on the appointed day and , he replaced the cartridges of Cold Water Expansion Valve within 20 min or so. Great peace of mind that the job was done and professionally. I would certainly use Local Plumbers again.

Had a site visit on 12 February. While the plumber was helpful and suggested alternatives to a soak pit, the promised same-day quote never arrived. Communication was non-existent following the initial meeting. Total silence for over two weeks despite the plumber's initial professionalism.

The team was a pleasure to deal with from my initial inquiry through to the completion of the repair. They did an excellent, neat job fixing our drainage pipe, which I had accidentally damaged. We have had extensive work done by this company in the past and were very pleased. So I rang YLP and asked if they dealt with hot water cylinders that were "not doing the job". Receptionist arranged callout and plumber visited very promptly. Politely told me that as the water was not leaking out but was cold, I needed an electrician. He kindly gave us the name of an electrical company and left. $155.00! The electricain came and made sure the cylinder was safe and ascertained the problem. Another YLP plumber returned and emptied the tank and then the electrician had to return again. It was through the electrical company that we learnt of "The Cylinder Guys" who are dual certified. In the end, we have a hot cylinder that works and both plumbers were excellent, friendly and efficient. We have however learnt that in future initially we must be much more specific about any problem, whether we are asked the questions or not.
